Here’s a list of courses I have taught previously. Unfortunately, most of them do not currently have online notes yet. I am working on it.
Lecture:
- Mathematics for Marine Sciences (with Sultan Hameed)
- An Introduction to Ecological Modeling
- Likelihood and Bayesian Data Analysis
- Stochastic Processes and State-space Models
- Ecological and Evolutionary Modeling (with Suzanne Alonzo)
Seminar:
- Current Topics in Mathematical Biology
- Quantitative Genetics
- Life history Evolution
- Bioeconomics
- Statistical tools in ecology (with Marm Kilpatrick)
- Ecological time series
- Metabolic theory and Maximum Entropy
- Nonlinear dynamics
- Controversies in Ecology (with Owen Petchey)
- Eco-evolutionary dynamics
NOTES
These are course notes as well as notes to myself on various topics. The course notes were generated in Rmarkdown and are also available as pdfs. They have not been edited.
Ecological and Evolutionary Modeling
These notes are for an introductory class in ecological modeling that I co-taught in 2018 with the fabulous Suzanne Alonzo. The emphasis was supposed to be on building intuition. The notes include some model formulation, a little bit on analysis, and some simple simulation code.
